wait what?
i thought this game is bad, at least what /v/ was saying all the time
>>321637462
It's -possible- they may have put some content in since /v/ last played it.
It's also -possible- that people who like space-teraria are entirely too easy to please.
It's also possible that I'm just three ducks in a man suit.
soz guys, op here, meant to post
>I thought this game was good
turned out its shit :/ I played for a couple hours and ive already visited too much insignificant and uninteresting stuff.
Currently deinstalling it and launching Terraria, which is way better !

a common mistake, no worries.
All jokes and memes aside, Starbound development has resumed in the last six months or so and has made pretty significant strides. It doesn't excuse development halting for basically ages. Colonization, vehicles, dyes, and a combat overhaul have all been implemented recently, and the current nightly builds are addressing some of the bullshit people complain about, especially the 3D printing system.
All the stuff /v/ vehemently hates about it is still around, though, particularly the placeholder quests and armor tier system, which aren't going anywhere until 1.0, which is actually just a couple of stable updates away.

Which is to say, they aren't going to be addressed.
Steam reviews will always be lopsided because people are always looking to legitimise their investment more than they are willing to admit that they made a mistake and wasted their money.

Terrariacucks literally on suicide watch:

lardasses at work
>>321638186
>Terraria is the cucks
>Meanwhile Chucklefuck is almost literally cucking its playerbase by taking their money and putting it into other projects/their own pockets

Played a bit with that combat update. it's slightly better now with some weapon skills, planets are finally seeing some premade mobs that are quite better than absolute trash that were random pokemon rejects, but still shit. Chuckletrash have no imagination so even handmade mobs are uninspired boredom and there too few of them, more of more differentiated enemies would alleviate that problem i believe.
Tenants are amusing for a bit, i like when my solarfart tenant plays piano in her saloon before getting stuck forever on top of it never touching anything, while spooky floran is stuck in eternal loop of running to teleporter, porting somewhere, puking and then porting home. Doesn't even visits her despite the fact that she's like hald a screen to the left. Whatever.
Music is still unfitting, building is still shit because apparently avians don't know how to make their national carvings and bricks and decorations, same goes for every race, all the cool stones turn into regulat cobbleshit despite having different textures but you get all the fifteen colors of dirt to junk up your inventory despite having a coloring tool. Awesome
Everything else is the same directionless shit and "placeholders" they keep wasting time on developing as it was years ago.
It's kind of entertaining watching at chucklefish's pathetic attempts at making game.

>couple years from now, starbound finally finds its legs
>after all the shitstorms and incompetence, it's finally a decent game
>chucklefuck and their drones look toward the future with hopeful eyes
>terraria 2 releases
>>321637462
I replay it every big update.
I takes me roughly 3 hours to complete everything.
What I'm trying to say is, there's still no actual content.
>>321641242
a third decent game*
Hey guys, is the game still shit?
>>321641242
They've already made fuck loads. Why would they give a shit.
>tfw you were robbed of $15
>>321642017
I bought vermintide,still playing it.
Game is ded as fuck
Robbed again.
>>321642089
>Game buggy as shit
>Shitty loot system that makes running again a downer
>Poorly optimized and simply doesn't run on certain setups
The community died? Shocking.
>>321638186
>has been shown off in various ways for literally 3-4 years
>has been released to the public for two years
>"What to expect when we finally release version 1.0"
You don't even have to judge the content inside the game, you can just look at the development cycle to know it's being made by incompetent people.
>>321644250
tfw my buddies picked it on sale and i'm here playing Refundbound.
