Fuck any game that doesn't allow to you move any faster than a slow walk for the first 10 minutes or more. TEW starts you off with a slow walk section, then puts you in a single stealth section (one room), followed by a scripted "hold forward to run away" hallway (in which your leg is fucked up, so you're still moving slowly), followed by a bad stealth section, followed by another slow walk section, followed by a section with nothing but forest.
Even when the actual combat starts happening, you only fight and stealth past retarded vanilla zombies for the first 30 minutes. Games gets great at the two hour mark or so.

FF12 gameplay wise the game doesnt truly get fun till after you get the whole party together which isnt for 6 hours or so. The same can be said of like 95% of all JRPGs they are quite boring for at least the first 2-4 hours.
