Probably the emulator itself. I have a friend who play the Beyond Chaos randomizer all the time and never runs into this problem.
>>
>>321609870

If you're playing it with any kind of patch applied, I'd recheck it, because it probably fucked up.
>>
>>321609870
You are using a bad dump
>[b1][b2] or [bx] or [ax]

Or just using snes9x 1.4x.
Download Snes9x 1.51 or 1.53.
>>
use bsnes
>>
Change version or use different emulator.

I played through twice on Snes9x no problem, don't remember which version but it was old.
>>
>>321609870
You're playing a shit game.
>>
>>321611975
bad dump? im using 1.53 :/
>>
>>321612281
Bad rom dump.

Have you ever noticed details inside [] in roms filenames?

They mean [bx] bad dump number x, [ax] Bad dump alternative x, [!] good dump.
In example:
>Final Fantasy V (J) [T-Eng][a6]
And a good dump example:
>Secret of Mana (U) [!]
>>
>>321612281
What color is the text that appears on screen when you start the game? It should be white.
>>
I'm playing it using the PS1 emulator and its working fine.
>>
>>321612495
Why do they include bad rom dumps then when all we want is the good one?
>>
Bad ROM. I never had shit like this happen to me in SNES9X.
>>
>>321612636
For fun.
>>
>>321612512
oh yeah, its yellow and says bad checksum. im currently looking at goodsnes, am i correct in assuming i can use something like this to try and repair it or nah?
>>
>>321612636
Attention whoring, for fun and/or they dont know what they are doing.

People still do this with recent rom dumps like the 3DS ones, they make a bad dump of a game and put the website/name/etc in the rom filename.
>>
>snesx
just get the gameboy version and play on your phone

Fuck. I was really hoping for a better reason than that.
>>
>>321612636
I'm assuming you got GoodSNES or some other fullset, it's because the point of it is to backup every known version of any given rom.
>>
FF6 is shit compared to Chrono Trigger.
>>
>>321613043
Sometimes is done to deal harm to people.

Like that NDS rom that if was ran in a actual DS using a R4/flashcard would brick the console.

I'm not OP, I was just curious.

That much makes sense, but if that's the case, why not make it a separate archive?

Because that would double the amount of 7z files inside, and isn't necessary. It's much easier to put them all into one and indicate which is the clean one, I think there's even a .txt file explaining what all the bracketed things mean.
>>
>>321612909
I don't know if there's any way to repair it, but you can try renaming your save file to match the clean ROM's filename and see if it still works though.
>>
>>321613386
how do i change that gook language
>>
and is there really a problem with snes9x? santa just brought me my steam link and im using that and launchbox to play games on my big ol tv
>>
>>321614105
You will have to excuse me but i cant fucking find the translated version i had.
>>
>>321614385
Snes9x is arguably the best emulator, it's not 100% accurate like Higan, but it's not as demanding either and is a bit more user friendly. I've never seen an actual emulation glitch with it.
>>
>>321614385

There are a few shitters on /v/ who don't like it because bsnes is less popular than snes9x is. They come running in to every thread yelling about it.

Don't mind them, and just use whichever one you like more.

snes9x is trash, use zsnes

if shit hits the fan, play the gba version
>>
>>321614385
Snes9x 1.51/1.53 is the most mature emulator that exist.

I been using the same emulator since 2007 and no problems so far.

Higan is good, but haves problems if your CPU is under average or shit and under 3.0GHz.

Here OP, english version.

They're supposed to be easier to hack/mod.

Stick to (!) and translated roms.
