it doesnt feel like there is as much to do, compared to JC2. the environments aren't as varied, and it didn't do enough to build on the previous one.
i paid $40 for it a long time before release, so i didn't really feel the impact of the cost so much, but its probably worth about $20 or so.
and there were some big problems performance-wise at launch, i think stemming from memory leaking

Well it's harder than Portal 1/2 for instance. Some puzzles can take a few minutes to solve, I found nothing to be impossible without a guide, though. (Unless you want to find all the extra stars, some of those are really, really hard)
I'd say it's worth it for the background story and presentation even if you're not that great at puzzle games.
Name a game, costing 5$ or less, that I can sped countless hours playing.
