he was constantly being used for scraps of information, which is Rockstar's awful story progression of most GTA games. GTAV was probably the first to break that tradition.

That's why I would pay for it again, just to get it on PC. Power of mods would give it a new life.
Bought a PS3 during the summer to play classic I missed, picked this up. Only got to the second or 3rd town before I put it down. Found the story awful, and gameplay generally boring. What am I missing here, why is this a classic? I felt the same way when I played HL2 and thought it was boring because I missed the hype train by two years or something.

Lack of side content
Not enough random human AI encounters or patrols/bandits
Online was garbage, not enough content and too much of a hassle to get anyone in free roam to do anything
NE side of the map not big enough because of Mexico taking up too much damn time and space.

Bullet time is overpowered, weapons all feel the same and there are tons of them, game looks smudgy and runs like shit (at least on PS3 don't know about 360).
Apart from that it's a pretty great game.

Bugs, Mexico is a bit dull after the amazing intro sequence, game revolves mostly around immersion/atmosphere and is arguably easier than any GTA title, GTA "please end this franchise before we sink it even lower" V got a PC port and this didn't
