A lot of villains want to destroy the world and it's usually up to the protaganist to mantain the status quo in this game though you do the opposite and it ends up as an FF game from the villains perspective and why they would see themselves as correct.

I played FFTA ages ago and it never really impressed me. I'm going to give it another try someday, any tips for getting the most out of the experience? Hopefully it feels less tedious with an emulator with a speed up function.

Tip no 1: get rid of Montblanc. and I don't mean stop using him. Literally kill him in a jagd. The story will continue as usual. Montblanc has terrible growth.
For a Hume, get a Ninja and the dual wield skill ASAP, then switch to paladin for a physical monster.
Try and get Hunter (hume) and Beast Tamer (No Mou) shit out of the way as finding some monsters gets harder to do later
