I don't have any modern vidya I really want that I can't afford myself with a monthly. And the only vidya i'm interested in is retro stuff. And I'm not about to ask my folks to go search ebay and price out deals or anything, thats something I can do myself and haggle accordingly.

I do. I use pocketwatches over wristwatches because I can't wear things on my wrists. (Bad incident with a blood test and the needle ripped a vein open) So I get really finnicky about wearing anything on my wrists.
Pocketwatches are easier for me to keep, and I love collecting em, so they're a win win.
