OP here. Having a problem. All of the games are in working order because they worked on my old Nintendo 64 from a few years ago. The console itself works. But, for some reason the only game that I have that will play when it's hooked up to my flat screen is Spider Man. Like I said I know all of the cartridges work, but the only that will play on the TV is Spider Man. Anyone have this problem? Is there a way to get all the games to play on an HD TV? And Google was no help.

I never understand why people say this. My impression of gen 5 is that it was just an overall embarrassing era of gaming, with very few good games. The transition from 2D to 3D was awkward for most devs and that's why there are a lot of weird, obscure devs around gen 4 / 5. A lot of them either sold out or just went bankrupt around that time. I think the N64 and PS1 were both bad.
That being said, if I had to pick a winner, it's clearly the N64. Super Mario 64, the Zelda games, Paper Mario, Smash 64, Banjo Kazooie, etc. All of these games stand up to this day. PS1 games on the other hand aged like milk. Or more accurately, they were just never good. I don't know what happens in someone's life to make them think the PS1's terrible library is somehow good, much less better than the N64.

OP check into an EverDrive. Its a rom loader for the N64. A little over a $100 bucks. Really nice unit. Supports saves and has a GameShark built in. Plays 99.9% games. Even the 64DD games & imports.

Symphony of the Night ruined the Castlevania franchise.
Before the Castlevania was made of tight platforming whipping with skills, than it became a fucking Metroid game with rpg elements.

This is a common misconception. SotN did not ruin the Castlevania series, as the only one that even attempted to be like SotN after it was Order of Ecclesia, which is among the best games in the series, if not the best game in the series.
You would probably also argue that RE4 ruined RE, even though it was a great game.

Duke Nukem 64 was a fucking BLAST for both co-op and competitive. Despite all the censoring, it's a great game and it had some mind blowing grafix back then. Make sure you give it a try.
I still remember playing it with my cousins back thenand ending up sucking our 9 years old ducks afterwards with some of them.
Some other honorable mentions: Jet Force Gemini, Aerofighters Assault, Star Wars Racer (of course) and Diddy Kong Racing.
