R9 390 is about 300.
Will max anything pretty well at 1080 60fps. Very good card and will stay such for a far while even as resolutions begin to creep past 1080.
380 isn't bad either if you want to stay under budget.
390 beats out 970 by a small bit and I typically find 390s cheaper.
Don't bother with the x versions of the 390. The performance jump is pretty small between the 390 and 390x and the price jump is great.
