I've never played a more chaotic and unorganized game in my life. How many of you unfortunate souls got this piece of shit for Christmas?
>>321423003
my younger brother bought it, it's proof I've failed as the older sibling.
they saved the game with this new update gizmo a few days ago. now we can make Gradius shit.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFUEFQJuvnw
It's fun to watch people like Nova play it
>>321423403
Ah, don't blame yourself.
>>321423848
But it is his fault.
>>321424429
C'mon it's Christmas. Go easy on the lad.
>>321423003
what are you even talking about?
How the fuck can I make a world and have my friend play it (yes we're friends in the miiverse) without having to copy down that dreadful like 15 digit code?
Basically, how can I design worlds and send it to people directly?
>chaotic and unorganized
What?
>>321425281
Like there's no structure.. I dunno, I can't really put my finger on it. I just feel that it's missing direction.
>>321425372
You make play user made levels and make your own levels
There's not supposed to be any structure or direction. That's the point of the game. It's what you make of it.
>>321425280
Send them the link from the Mario Maker site.
>>321425372
>sandbox game has no direction
Good?
It's literally a shitter little big planet
It has a tiny fraction of that games content
>>321426468
Too bad little big planets controls are looser than girl luigi's pussy.
>>321425372
It's more of a tool than a game, if you see it as an editing program it makes more sense.
>>321426691fully customisable controls
>>321423848
>>321424946
What does christmas have to do with it? It's an awful product that can't even recreate a single mario world level
>>321423003
I knew from Excitebike I suck at levelmaking, I wisely avoided this
>>321428660
What are you talking about? You can totally recreate a mario world level. Aside from bowser's castle and some other shit you can make identical levels.
I guess it's a good game for kids that are creative. Might even get them into coding later on. I wish there was some shit like this when I was a kid, I tell you that much.
I was born too early. I would kill to have been born in 2005.. Kids these days don't know how good they've got it, man.
>>321425280
Your friend can mark you as a "favorite" course maker.
>>321425372
If it gave you experience points and levels for making and playing levels and had tutorials for everything with achievement rewards you would probably be happier
>Little big planent comes with both a story mode, better online functionalities and a crazy deep level editor
>Mario Maker comes with a few premade levels, one of the worst online functionalities ive ever seen for a level editor and a super shallow level editor.
Nintendo is garbage, they were never good
>>321430269
> You can totally recreate a mario world lev
please be joking
>good game for kids that are creative
What are you smoking? this is literally a coloring book with half the pages filled in already. You can't get creative with a coloring book. It's for kids though. You don't get that wrong.
>>321431229
but while LBP did that great, lets not pretend it's a good platformer.
It's also 30fps.
Still beats Mario Maker, but not worth playing 5 times.
>>321430548
Ok how how how?
Through the miiverse profile thing? See that's what I don't understand.
>>321425372
you mean the UI? that's just Japanese games in general. I don't know what's going on over there, but they refuse to make clean UI for any of their games. It's always a mess
>>321426691
>>321427141
I'm not saying Mario Maker is that good, but Little Big Planet is unplayable for me.
It uses simulation physics, not platformer physics, and the result is a sluggish, unprecise mess.
It does have a huge amount of content, but the core is just rotten.
Also, the level construction tools are more cumbersome and slow to use than the editors of some game engines
>>321430269
>You can totally recreate a mario world level
Anon, you can't even recreate Yoshi's Island 1.
>>321432016
What the fuck is wrong with Mario Maker's UI?
>>321432336
To be fair yoshi's island 1 has more than average amount of slopes. Are there even slopes in 2 and 3?
>>321431618
All I'm trying to say is that Mario Maker is a bad level editor
>>321433349
Perhaps not the best, but you have to admit that it's the game that keeps on giving.
Perfect for Mario platformeraholics in the sense that you can now play endless amounts of new mario levels all day long.
Dude I'm just waiting for the new Zelda to come out.. That's all I want. They better not force me/us to use the gamepad like they did with Batman
>>321433120
2 had a ton of vertical segments, something you can't really do in Mario Maker unless you overuse doors.
3 had slopes everywhere. It's the Mario that introduced sliding.
>>321434860
>Perfect for Mario platformeraholics in the sense that you can now play endless amounts of new mario levels all day long.
This
Fuck man, if you don't even like working with the level editor you have a never ending supply of Mario levels at your fingertips
>>321435994
I think he meant 1-2 and 1-3 of SMW.
Which reminds me that I really wish you could place water into stages that don't otherwise have it.
>>321436430
Ah. Well, the only thing a recreation of 1-2 would be missing is Chargin' Chucks. 1-3 had the swinging platforms, stretch blocks, andathletic music.
