It's excusable if you're from a country where English isn't the first language, or if you're still in grade school, but what we're talking about here are fairly different words being used in place of other words, not just typos. I make typos myself, but that's just from hitting the wrong key, you can't typo some of the examples given here since it requires restructuring multiple letters, some of which may not be next to each other on the keyboard. You have to be a special kind of person to mentally think of another word while typing and think that you're correct (spell checker doesn't correct you either since it doesn't know grammar). To my knowledge, the largest group of English-speakers to high specialty ratio are Americans, thus my conclusion.
