Merry Christmas, muthafucka.
Let's have a festive Bayonetta thread.
>tfw bought the game for myself as a christmas gift a few years ago
It fuckin blew my mind and is now my favorite game. Made me have more interest in buying more games in general to experiment. And now every year I start up bayonetta on christmas, even though I still play it every so often through out the year. Feels gud. Thank you oh great kamiya in the sky, blessed art thou.
I feel bad because the physical Bayo games are getting quite rare, but it's not clicking like other Platinum games have. I'm just sliding on my face getting straight stone statues. I didn't have this issue with TW101 even though in that game you get punished for using items and deaths.
>>321371363
There's a learning curve but once you unlock certain combos and blocking the game becomes much less punishing.
>officer Bayonetta will never handcuff you
>tfw I have a PS3
>tfw PS3 has the shittiest framerate of all the versions of Bayo
I guess I'm just gonna wait until the Wii U goes cheap so that I can buy both the best version of Bayo 1 and also get Bayo 2 at the same time.I'm still hoping that Platinum one day releases Bayo 1 on PC though.
>>321369307
I still have problems enjoying these games as much as others are, and I blame myself for poisoning my opinion with the first game. The entire time I was wishing for DMC5 in a game that isn't DMC.
I'm much more used to a heavier character, and Bayo feels a lot looser. That's been improved a bit in Bayo 2 and I ended up enjoying it a lot more than 1, but it still feels off to me.
He's a big angel.
Merry Christmas, Bitches!
Bayo is gay right?
>>321374503
I don't think she cares.
>>321374503
>implying she doesn't have private sessions with Rodin
>>321374503
>only ever flirts with men
>comments on how she prefers to make babies instead of taking care of them
>never shows any romantic or sexual attraction to any female ever in either game
I will never understand how someone could even stumble upon the hypnosis that Bayo is even bi, let alone full on gay.
What sexy alternate costumes do you want in Bayonetta 3?
Personally, I'd love a bikini or a school teacher with a ruler as an exclusive weapon. A riding crop weapon on top of all of that.
>>321374503
Probably bisexual, but she's definitely banging Jeanne.
Hope all you naughty little anons finished your shopping.
>>321375169
True. Nobody goes to hell and back unless it's for alesbian lover
>>321375329
And that you didn't forget the caviar,(so that you can spend Christmas licking it off the nipples of your dfc gal pal).
>>321369307
Is Rodin the real Santa?
>>321375612
If Bayo says so, I'm not gonna argue.
>>321376139
>Well ain't this a muthafucka
You can't help but love Rodin.
Is Rodin supposed to be Satan?
>>321378626
Pretty much, he's basically a black lucifer
>>321378626
He's a fallen angel, so more like a Lucifer analog.
>>321375039
Probably because she's closer to Jeanne than anyone else, and despite how much she flirts with men you never see her actually do anything with them.
>>321379926
She's close to Jeanne, because maybe, just maybe, she's actually just a good friend to her? Fuck, it's like you literally can't be friends with anyone without wanting to bang them. Is friendship in general a foreign concept upon idiots on the internet?
>>321379926
maybe shes close to Jeanne because they are childhood friends and the last of the Umbra witches, and not because they are super secret rug munchers.
If you honestly believe that there is more then a snowballs chance in hell that Bayo is a fag you are well and truly delusional. The only way the game could make her more hetro is if it was just about her hopping dicks instead of killing angels
>>321382203
>>321382580
>Buy Bayo 1+2 in recommendation from /v/
>shit looks pretty cool, but these angels are JFMSU
>can't button mash out of problems, just have to wait for an attack, and get witch time
>buy the max amount of health upgrades by the time I reach chapter 5
>still getting tons of deaths
>decide my bar for moving on is to at least get a silver
>takes me 3-4 replays to get it per level
>each new enemy fucks my shit up, the bosses are actually kinda easy
>tfw running into Glorious and Gracious for the first time
>still haven't beat 1 or started 2
Man. This really seperates the casuals from the men. Xenoblade X and Cloud in Smash have really sucked my attention away.
>>321382580
>>321382203
Frankly, I got no problem if Bayonetta is Bi.
The only other woman I can think of in Bayonetta is Her mom, her Umbran Sister Jeanne, and the various demon ladies like Madama Butterfly.
I mean, It's stated that she doesn't do much with Luka is because there's the issue of her being immortal and he is not - she's not a women with comittment. But Jeanne is another Witch, who can easily live to be old with her. So even if it's not as intimate as people want it to be, she is DEFINITELY close with Jeanne, and values spending time with her (Be it as friend, sister, or secret classy leasbian lovers)
>>321371363
Google Dodge Offset
Practice that shit until you can keep combos going through dodges every time
>>321383046
See >>321383285
Also 2's normal difficulty is easier than 1's, but 2 lets you start on Hard right away if you want.
>>321374503
Bayo is a pure maiden
>>321383120
Well I doubt she's immortal. She clearly ages and can die. Or at the very least, be sent to hell.
But even if she's not big on commitment, being with Luka wouldn't be a problem. She'd probably age a year for the rest of his life. She looks the same as when she popped out of a lake 20-30 years ago
>mfw chapter XIV in Bayo 2
>>321383881
She and Jeanne are 600 years old. Umbra witches are immortal in the sense that they can't really die by means such as disease or old age, but can be killed if you stab them or something. Comes with having the demonic contract. You get immortality, and power, but you have to deal with angelic bs for the rest of your life, and if you die, your soul is for munching
Mind posting Bayo Kirby please?
>>321384234
>>321384234
Just beat this yesterday, man what a ride. Though that final boss was pretty anti-climatic but, then again it would be pretty hard to top Jubileus. I'm still confused as fuck as to why Jeanne was kidnapped, though I'm hoping this would be more elaborated on in Bayo 3, if there is one
>>321384473
Jubileus was visually impressive but a bad fight.
Aesir was a much better fight but somehow nowhere near as over the top.
>>321375039
Nigga she and Jeanne had that hatesex tension going on until it boiled over straight into yuri tropes territory.
>>321384473
You know, it's fun that, save for Rodin (who's a fallen angel) this entire game is heavily coded feminine. Luka tries to be suave but is a dork, Balder is fabulous in all senses you see him, Enzo is hardly manly, the main creator god is a woman, the Queen of hell and the contract demons of the witches are female...This game's setting is just fabulous in general
>>321384362
>>321384068
Huh. Can only chicks be witches? What about an Umbran Warlock?
I mean, being a sage doesn't seem too bad either. So long as they don't send me after Bayo or Jeanne.
>>321384581
I think he wasn't as well set up so to speak. The story in 2 doesn't feel as well put together and set up as 1 was. By the time I beat him the first thing that came to mind was "That's it?"
>>321384696
I'd really like to see the people responsible for the art and design in hell help make a horror game.
>>321384950
I think the in game journals said only women can be Umbra and only men Lumen (I could be remembering it wrong), but Kamiya tweet that both can be either sex.
>>321384950
>Can only chicks be witches
Yep, and I think only males can be sages
>>321384950
I can't remember where I saw it, but therw was some talk about the creator of the possibility of female Lumen and male Umbra.
But most of the demons we've seen so far are either monstrous, or are feminine beings like Madama Butterfly. Would be pretty fun to be an Umbran Warlock, and your contract is with one of the female demons. Imagine that, walking around, with a shadow representing a female demon.
I mean, if Balder is any indication, pretty much no matter if you're Lumen or Umbra, you're as fabulous and sassy as a gay pride parade (in the best way possible)
