Worth it?
A friend tells me that they censored it and nerfed the difficulty compared to Ninja Gaiden Black, is it true or is he bullshitting me?
It's essentially the exact same game with extra chapters and a few very minor balancing changes. Your friend is an idiot.
And Ninja Gaiden are the gold standard for action games. 10/10 games that have aged very well.
Definitely worth checking it. Be sure to beat Master Ninja, as that's the way it's meant to be played.
I don't recall censoring but there is nerfed difficulty in some places and change for the sake of change sprinkled through out
there are some definite improvements here and there but the trade offs aren't worth it for some players
The US version still has decapitations, only the other versions had them censored.

Sigma has a ton of improvements over Black and gets rid of the shitty "obligatry water level" and some dumb padded puzzles and replaces them with better content and new chapters.

NGS2 is better than NG2 because it has less popcorn enemies, but the enemies are more aggressive with better AI and a bit more health. NGS2 also has the girl chapters and more content.

Sigma 2 is a joke of a game anon. They even went as far to remove solo mission mode and the trials of valor entirely. And to make things worse, the main campaign was gutted in favor of changing the combat to small groups of health sponge ninjas instead. Its not even the same game.

I did actually finish that mission and i've seen sergen's videos.
It doesn't change the fact that you can't beat it with the AI, you have to pass through the dead as fuck online community. They didn't think to offer split screen for missions that require split second reactions and you have to deal with horrible latency
