I didn't bother with a guide, just took several attempts, once you get past the first few turns of chapter 2 it becomes manageable, chapter 4 was surprisingly easy,and then I could grind like a little bitch

The first 5 chapters you have to do normally, then there are two options, grind to compensate, or use minimal amounts of units (no more than 4 I'd say), so you still get enough exp to keep your units ahead of the curve
