This new developer didn't understand the principle design philosophy behind Mafia. They thought they were just making another generic open world sandbox with arcadey driving physics and balls-to-the-wall action. I don't give a shit what ethnicity the main character is so long as the gameplay and story evoked the feeling of the previous two games and this clearly does not accomplish that. I makes me sad to think that this series is going to be just another casualized shitfest like Saints Row and Just Cause.

hell they'll probably even give you the option of letting the italians run everything if you want them to so badly.

I think a Mafia game set in New Orleans is a fucking brilliant idea. The setting looks incredible so far from what we've seen. Definitely feels fresh and different from the multiple standard Italian mob on the northeastern coast games we already have.
