It is basically what happens when you take the previous battlefront game and literally remove half the content (if you think that I am exaggerating about them removing half the content then prepare to be surprised). They basically removed everything from battlefront 2 that made it what it was like space battles and the clone wars era and classes and it has like a fifth of the map pool of battlefront 2 and whoever came up with the retarded powerup mechanic deserves to get shot. Also have to mention that the overheating gun mechanic is retarded as fuck and the shooting is even less skill based than the original battlefronts which were not known for being the most mechanically well put together games.

The game is also hilariously unbalanced. The spawn system is so fucked that in walker assault spawn camping is actually a legit strat and part of your game plan to win the match.

I miss actually playing as a Jedi/sith. Hero vs hero mode is fucking awful in this game compared to battlefront 2, Literally the most disappointed I've ever felt playing Darth Vader in a video game. Which is saying something, as its the only mode I actually like in this price of shit game.

The reason for the lack of content is because of the high graphical standard they set for themselves. When an entire map, every rock, every wall has to look fantastic it makes asset production EXTREMELY slow even for seasoned professionals.
Then it gets worse because they removed content that would have been in the base game to sell as DLC instead of developing the DLC after release of the full base game.
It's nice when an obviously exploitative game crashes and burns, hopefully teaching other developers what not to do.
