Aion was rather disappointing in hindsight. Cool worlds, but getting wings wasn't nearly as cool as it should have been, and it was the most grindy MMO I've played. I hear they fixed it somewhat, but too little too late.

I went mage and got to sorcerer back when I played. Killing stuff was fairly easy, but I HAD to nuke it before it got to me, because normal mobs would take me down in like four swipes after it broke my magic shield.
I lament that I never reached max level, but at least I got far enough to summon kickass meteors for massive damage.

Aion used to be mediocre, ut after 3.0 it became garbage.Also they are probably going to abandon it soon since most new content these days is shit like "pvp gear that requires 3000 medals" and "grind shit 10 by 10 every day you can get wings with 5000". They are setting up the last grind quests more or less

I got banned for 3 days entering a safe zone in gelkmaros or whatever and killing a general. it wasn't a safe zone in the korean version lel
pretty fun PVP I had pretty much the best kisk spot that took like an hour to get to with the best pvpers on the server(not me because i never grinded for the best gear) I quit to try out rift regret that but aion didnt seem to get better anyway
