This thread reminded me I was playing Tomb Raider 1. I totally forgot, haven't touched it in like two months probably
I like the level design of the first like 4 games, even if the controls are pure shit. But after those games, they just made too many attempts to "revamp" the series, change the gameplay, and now we have a game that's almost nothing like the first one. Instead of jumping and climbing to reach difficult areas of the level, you get "Press X to not die here" kind of shit, and I would honestly rather deal with the bad controls and triangle tits for the sake of better level design and gameplay overall
