Not that anon but each faction has it's own perks. If you want specialized infantry go for Nords or Rhodoks. Cavalry go for SWADIANS. For a balance do Vaegirs, Khergits and Sarranids are shit skins and don't count.

Swadian Knights steamroll everything in open ground except maybe sarranid mameluks, Rodok crossbowman for defensive sieges and Nord Huscarls for offensive sieges, Vaegirs are shit, Horsefuckers are shit but a bit dangerous.

Apart from the world map the graphics really aren't 'that' bad. Just crank them up to max as just about anything that's regularly used as a gaming PC should be easily able to max it out.

I recommend playing a while without a guide for a few hours.
You're likely going to end up a mercenary or a highwayman, encountering many frustrations and small triumphs as you watch the kingdoms fuck each other silly.
Then look up a guide, and be ready for FEASTS, TOURNAMENTS, AND COURTING THE ONE PRINCESS THAT DOESN'T HAVE POTATO FACE (plus more feasts).
AND DISCOVERING WHY A BOW IS BETTER THAN A ZWEIHANDER AND WHY SOME KINGS ARE FUCKING CUNT FUCKS WHO DON'T ALLOT FIEFS FAIRLY (this decides which King you want to kill first).

Native multiplayer is good but full of people who know what they're doing who will fuck you endlessly until you learn to git gud. Napoleonic wars multiplayer is somewhat thriving and still full of people who will fuck you up the ass with their bayonet while spinning around in circles. Sieges are more fun because of artillery having to punch holes through walls and shit. Nothing feels better than charging into a freshly made breach and stabbing guy after guy with your bayonet.
Overall, I'd still say single-player is a lot more fun than MP most of the time. I usually just fuck around on a deathmatch server in napoleonic wars to get better at bayonet duels.

There is no co-op for this game at least in native.
You have two mods if you want something close to co-op: Persistent World and a fairly new alpha stage co-op mode which is super barebones at the moment.

The problem with coop mode is: Ho are you possibly going to handle the passage of time.
There are no turns in Mount and Blade, so you just having turns for the sake of multiplayer campaign is kinda silly.
Other than that, maybe Butterlord allows for lan/internet coop. The Host is the adventurer and other people may join as a companion character or just jump in/out as they please in battles.

The first mod is Gekokujo and is a Single Player mod.
The second one is Bear Force II and it has a small population online but remains funif you have good ping

Mods are pretty easy to install on M&B. Some have installers, the rest you just drop into the Modules folder in the install directory.
The Jap mod is Gekokujo. It's one of the better made mods.
