So is this a good investment for the long run? Like if I want it for 2+ years?
You'll probably be able to max games with it the next 20 years if the vidya industry keeps it's bullshit up.
>meme card
just buy a 980 fag
Anyone have that EVGA site that constantly posted deals on their shit? I remember seeing it in a thread here.
Just don't expect to max Arkham Knight out. Fucking WB.

>buying a 980 if you're not playing 4k
>implying 4k is or will be relevant for the next five years

Not running two 980tis in SLI to play CS:GO pffft
>>321167881
yes, but seriously people: WAIT for the DX12 cards!
Enjoy you're 3.5.

I've been playing games at 4k internal resolution on my 1080 monitor lately, love the 0 aliasing look
on heavier games I can't up it to 4k though (BamKnight, Witcher 3, etc)
>>321167881
it'll at the fucking least last as long as the PS4/Xbone (while completely outperforming them), and even after that you'll probably be able to run next gen games if you simply lower settings
>>321168874
this is something you could take into consideration too... the next structure of GPUs could come soon
but again, the 970 is probably the sweetest spot
>will last for all of this gen (6+ years)
>outperforms consoles
>it's nvidia, so it comes with shadowplay (awesome recording software with little to no impact on performance)
and if you keep the "I'll wait for this one important release that should come up soon", you'll never get a new PC part
>>321168057
It's barely a step above the 970.
>>321167881
it's a good card for 1080p gaming, the 3.5 meme will shit all over your card if you go for higher resolutions
>>321167881
check how 770 stacks up to 380 and try to think.
