I really loved the idea behind that game, but I guess I'm retarded or something but Mercury's chapter is the most difficult thing in the world and I never beat it. You have to go in solo and the boss has two attacks a turn that poison you. Mercury kind of sucks at physical combat so the only thing I found to work was grind tons of money to keep buying mp restoring items.

AS was made by people who love the source material and legitimately wanted to carry and extend on that via making the game and capitalising on otherwise weakly used plot elements.

It's deceptively deep, has a good score, isn't lazy with the homage it pays to SM lore and even features vocals from the show. A little cookie cutter story wise, but that's the anime for you. All in all, I'd say it's a decent old school RPG with a pink coat of paint.
