That is because the DLC was basically just ripped content from the game. I was fortunate enough to borrow a friends copy on release. Then got the complete version when that dropped. If I had bought the DLC separately I would have been pissed.

The Bad Blood dlc for Watch_Dogs™
It's not that it was bad; it's actually good - too good.
The playable character is way more entertaining than Aiden and I preferred him aesthetically as well. Who wants to play as bland short-haired adult guy #968 when you could play as the cooler, older, uniquely designed mechanic badass?
Ubisoft played things extremely safe with Aiden Pearce and it dragged the already cliche story down further. Then, those who made it through the oftentimes boring campaign were offered something great and decided - based on the main game - that the dlc was probably the same boring shit.
Ubisoft missed a huge opportunity to have an interesting IP and deserve all the shit they get.
