Calling something a stage or level really bothers me when it's like an area in an open game.

If it's a game for example like a platformer like Super Mario games or Donkey Kong, then I'm probably not going to nitpick about them calling it a stage instead of a level or vice versa.
Toon also annoys me, I don't know where the fuck that even came from, I think I've only ever seen one game call their characters toons and I sure as fuck did not take that to every other game I played from then on. I've heard way too many people say "toon" and I don't understand why.
