2015 was a year of stellar video game releases, from Bloodborne to Tales from the Borderlands.
But it was also a year of big disappointments. Even some of the best games of the year managed, somehow, to also feel like letdowns. Rather than necessarily being bad, these games simply didn’t live up to the hype, or missed the mark because of some design decision or change from earlier titles in a franchise.
Here are the most disappointing video games of 2015.

Who the thought they were going to be anything other than less-than-stellar? Especially in the case of TH and MP, those have been dead for years. Anyone who payed attention to press prior to the release of The Order also saw the writing on the wall.

>More than anything, The Phantom Pain simply never felt much like a Metal Gear game to me. While there are some really terrific missions and the graphics are stellar, there’s really no reason why this game was open-world, or why so much of the focus was geared toward online and base-related content. Add to this the fact that Snake, now voiced by Keifer Sutherland instead of longtime voice actor David Hayter, barely spoke five words the entire game, and you’ve got yourself a major disappointment. The incomplete story didn’t help matters, either, though ultimately all of this would have mattered less if it simply felt more like a Metal Gear game.
Agree would have been nice to play a full game instead of what we got.

>While The Taken King did make some good changes and helped streamline the Destiny experience, and while I enjoyed the new story content, after a few weeks with the expansion I found myself losing interest, even more satisfied with the nature of progression and loot-grinding than I was before. In some ways it was too much of an overhaul. But I think the other problem is that it was the last piece of actual DLC for Destiny, and what we’ve been left with is micro-transactions and fairly dull Sparrow racing. What the game really needed was a second “2.0″ expansion to make The Taken King more meaningful. Instead, the game was totally transformed, all our old, good gear became meaningless, and then nothing.

This is pretty accurate though. They added all these fun little micro events that drop nothing of value whatsoever. All old gear is shit and its still the same grind the weekly raid 3 times, and now the weekly heroic and nightfall aren't even of any use.

If you liked the story, the order was actually alright. I suppose I'm more of a point and click kinda guy but I played it before LIS and after Game of Thrones, so the fact I could choose to do anything exited me. Also, 1886 was a graphical masterpiece for the PS4.
But LIS was fantastic bar the ending, as is the case with most media anyway.
