Let's discuss in a serious manner for once /v/, I bet you can do it once in a year.
Warning, long discussion ahead.
There is this game called Dogma:EN who is on kickstarter right now, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/prelude/dogma-eternal-night, and I followed their project hoping that they would easily reach their goal, but, apparently this wasn't the case, they sadly fail, as you can see there are less than 3 days left and they got only 1/3 of their minimal goal.
I made this thread just to ask you why did this happen, in your opinion?
They release an update once in a day.
They been constant in doing so for a long time.
They show actual in game content and not stupid teasers or trailers.
The goal isn't so much high for the type of game they are making.
It has an unique theme that no other MMO is offering right now. (Also thanks to CCP, who bought the license to made and then CANCEL a World of Darkness MMO, and even blocking a revamp mod for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines)
Also, it seems to be one of the few MMO who can actually offer a dynamic world, a promise who many sandbox failed to mantain.
(Archage everyone?)
So I was just wondering why.
Was it obscure and nobody heard of it until now?
Are the prizes for backers not worth it?
Not your genre?
You don't like playing only as a vampire (They announced that they will implement other "races" later on, with Werevolves being on top of their list)
Are you hoping for something from Paradox, because they bought WoD recently?
Is it just too niche in general?
Thanks for your replies.
