By level I just mean the production multiplier. That is to say, starting out it's 1x. But heavenly chips give you a 2% multiplier I believe, so I reset at 50 chips, then at 500 chips, then at 5000 chips, then at 50K chips etcetera.

Cookies is almost like EXP and raise your level. As you reset that level carry over. However it's best to reset when you are really high (almost 100) your first time. Starting from the beginning it takes about a whole 24 hours to get your first level but once that is done you get them faster and faster.

A giant reindeer cookie going across your screen. They are pretty quick (more so if you lack the upgrade to slow them down) so they last only about a second at best. Blinking could potentially cause you to miss one.
You better start clicking them. It is the only way to get a chance to get one of the 7 Christmas cookies and you need 200 total clicks for an achievement.

I just ascended for the third time a little bit ago with 189,000 prestige and after 17 minutes I'm already back up to 70,000 more and have 200 prisms.

Get at LEAST 10. Preferably 50-100 if you want to unlock most of the basic stuff.

ascending at lower levels is still better because the heavenly chip secret upgrades provide massive bonuses (I think heavenly chip secret makes the 2% bonus of regular prestige into 7%)
early ascensions reach 200 prestige faster than just waiting it out
