Kojima has that Tomokazu Fukushima as a co-writer, and some people say that it was Fukushima that was responsible for the game's (relative) plot.

They usually look for avoiding spamming buttons, taunts, and style changes - which hold actual mechanical benefits in actual gameplay (But you wouldn't know since you haven't played them)
Bayonetta, MGR, pretty much every Platinum action game's ranking system is based on three factors: Time, damage taken, total number of hits. They rank how not-shit you are at the games, regardless of looks, you kill a lot of your style through shit like dodge offset but if you use it, you're guaranteed higher ranks. Again, you'd know this if you played the games.

An arbitrary ranking system for perfectionists doesn't impress me. It's not a core component of the game, I could ignore it completely if I wanted and if I choose to focus on the fundamental gameplay, I find it lacking. NGB had a ranking system too, you know, but it can still stand on its own merits without having to replay a section obsessively to nail that elusive S rank or whatever contextual system a game uses for its rankings.
Any game can seem interesting if you put enough self-imposed restrictions on it. The fact that DMC/Bayonetta/MGR attempt to do it for you doesn't make me like the games any more.

While the Platinum action game "rankings" are semi-tertiary (You do actually unlock a lot by getting Platinum/Pure Platinum ranks in the core games like Bayonetta and W101), you actually do need to master the Style Meter in DMC4 because you actually miss out on rewards if you're not capable of reaching SSS.

Bayo 2 better than first bayo and MGR is decent, but Kamiya didn't work on these games, people still think he made them, sepecially Bayo 2.

It's sad how little known he is.
He made arguably the one of the best action games ever with Devil May Cry 3. He refined the combat of DMC3 with DMC4, which continues to have the best combat system in action games to this very day (despite being lackluster in every other area).
And he also made one of the best action-RPG games ever with Dragon's Dogma.
I can't wait to see what genre he works on next. He needs to be as popular as Hidetaka Miyazaki.

He invented survival horror with Resident Evil (the Gamecube remake is arguably the best survival horror game ever) and Dino Crisis.
He revolutionized third-person shooters with Resident Evil 4 (arguably the greatest TPS ever made).
He made the world's best 3D beat-em-up game with God Hand.
He's also directed Vanquish, which is one hell of an exceptional TPS.
