What is the latest custom firmware on this thing? I've got 5.50 D-3 installed on mine, how do I update?
Also general PSP thread. What were some good fuckin games on this thing? I'm trying to play persona 3.

I have PRO CFW 6.60.
I think that most if not all versions of OFW have a CFW counterpart because of the leak. Also, Dracula X Chronicles is my favorite game for this thing and Popsloader is a must.
Also to update, I think you just need the OFW version that the CFW you are using requires on your memory card, then start the CFW updater.

As I recall, the CFW was essentially a "cracked" OFW, so that you didn't need the OFW version corresponding to the CFW version you wanted. Probably it's preferred you don't have that OFW installed. Can't QUITE remember, but that feels right to me.
In any case, QJ PSP was my source for this stuff back in 2009 or so.
So I have CFW 6.60 on my psp 3000, but I'm picking up a Go for xmas. Can I literally just copy and paste the entire memory from my 3000 and plop it in the Go? Or does the Go have its own CFW?

PRO is the latest and the best CFW out there. It also lets you maintain a completely functioning OFW simultaneously with no effort switching between the two, in case you'll want to visit the eshop or w/e.

From what I remember you needed a base OFW that wasn't actually installed, but placed in the folder with the updater. They may have changed that though.

You needed the official 5.00 firmware for the custom firmware to work. I don't know if that is still the case though, but I assume that if you're going to jump up to 6.XX you would need the 600.PBP from Sony.

i've been playing Tomba 2 for PS1 and Macross Ace Frontier on mine. Also Ace Combat X becauseI've never played an ace combat game before.
Sometimes I try to fire up my PSP again but I never actually feel like playing anything.
Also did anyone realize how the DS battery is a bazillion times better? I can leave that thing off for one year and it'll still turn on. The PSP's dead after two weeks or something.
