Hi /v/, got anything game-related on your schedule this week?
Still wracking my brain with SquareCells here.If you're looking for people to play with, posting your ID or whatever is probably a good idea. And thank you for the mug-corrected image, anon.

fugI just realised now that I've saved the thumbnail like an idiot. Have the original instead.
What're you two playing, anyway?
im watching that new show Into the Badlands and monitoring the cookie clicker
played some everquest earlier

How's Everquest hold up these days? Only really got into MMOs with WoW myself, heard it to be a bit of a grindfest.
Home for winter break, probably going to start Bayonetta 2. I played through all of bayo 1 in two days and the fight music has me hooked
That and some comfy cookie clicker of course
I'm not playing anything, but I recently got insurgency. It's pretty fun, but I've been looking for a fps that's fun that I can just mess around in, or a fun game I can just sit back and relax with. I've been looking at helldivers, is it any fun?
>>321033429
Sounds like a cozy time. How'd you like Bayonetta 1?
>>321033590
TF2 isn't the worst for this and it's free - so long as you don't get into a server full of tryhards it's pretty casual class-based FPS fun.
>>321033426
I stopped playing retail everquest a long time ago, so I really can't answer that. I play the emulated server project1999 which is from the 1999-2001 era of the game
It's definitely a "grindfest" if you let it be. You can either sit in one spot with 5 other people, killing the same monsters over and over and over again... or you can actually go on dangerous adventures with 1-3 others and get a lot better xp and have more fun.
There's a million ways to play it which is why I like it. But yes, levels are definitely "hard" to get. Most people never see max level, and I think that's definitely something lost in today's MMOs

I used to play tf2, I used to have people to play with, not too fun to play it by myself, anything similar?
>>321034015
Ah, fair enough.
>Most people never see max level, and I think that's definitely something lost in today's MMOs
Yeah, it seems like a lot of the "end-game and the journey to get there" transitioned from being an MMO thing to being a multiplayer survival game thing.

Similar to TF2? CS:GO is built on the same engine, but in terms of casual getting Garry's mod and playing one of the many "party game" style mods might bring better results. If you want to just get cozy and shoot the shit in the post-apocalypse, play Fallout 4

I NEED GAMES TO PLAY
someone rec me an rpg on pc
currently downloading minimetro and banished, might give grim fandango a shot
>>321035185There's not a lot of class-based shooters on the market that don't try to be hardcore, okay?
>>321035229
Witcher 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age: Origins and Mount & Blade: Warband.
All very different games, but pretty great RPGs.
>>321035646
>Witcher 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Dragon Age: Origins and Mount & Blade: Warband.
these are all QUITE phat "no thx"s
>>321035229
play some divinity or pillars
>>321035760
Well then what're you looking for?
RPG's a broad genre.
>>321035913
i'm feeling something turn-based my man
>>321036968
Fallout 1 and 2.
And you can emulate a fuckton of classic turn-based JRPGs on PC.
>>321037213
>classic turn-based JRPGs on PC
these
what are these
>>321036968
The old Fallout games and Baldur's Gate are pretty solid, but they're trying very much to be D&D style games, if that's your thing.
I've heard Divinity: Original Sin's great, but no first hand experience with it yet.
No idea about eastern games, sorry.
>>321037297
FF 4-9, mind you ATB is technically not turn based, but w/e.
Persona 2-4. There's english PSP version of P2:IS. But P2:EP only has english version of PS1 game, but it's bearable.
SMT Nocturne and DDS on PS2.
There's also Radiant Historia, Etrian Odyssey and Strange Journey on DS.
>>321036968
If you have a ps2, ffx is pretty good. Quite a few persona games are also turn based, so that's also nice.
Slow morning, huh.
>>321039449
It's 4:20 over here
>>321039659
10:23 here now. Guess I'll wait for the rest of the board to wake up.
