I remember Devil Survivor 1 having way more missions where you needed to use tactics other than simply overwhelming the enemy. There were NPCs to save so you had to use movement skills to reach enemies and stuff. And maybe it was because of the more limited skills and demons or maybe it was because of the character stat distributions, but it seemed like you characters weren't quite as overpowered in the first game compared to the second.
Someday I'll play Overclocked, hopefully it's even better.
