They already confirmed in another interview that the Honey Bee Inn scene is in.

It doesn't say it'll be cut, just that it could be done differently. I feel like they know how much of a backlash there will be if they cut out the Honey Bee Inn (or anything really).
Like you may go there for some goofy dialogue and to get Cloud's make-up, but seeing Cloud chillin in a hot tub with a bunch of beefcakes may not be in or at the very least, not shown.

Japan is still weird though, so there could always be a comedic take on it where Cloud is just in the way at the moment a bunch of beefy guys charge into the room and launch in to the tub, accidentally forcing Cloud in.

I think one of the reasons why some of these things will be changed aside from the rise of political correctness is just neo-Squeenix and the tone they're gonna go for in the remake.
All the humorous, silly shit in FF7 worked with the cartooney, non-realistic graphics in the 32-bit era, but a scene where body builders get in a small bath with Cloud would be weird as fuck with 2017 AAA graphics, and with how they're gonna try to make the game more serious to keep up with modern expectations. I hope they can make it work or do something similar though.

In terms of mini games, completely agreed. Been replaying this on the PS4 and some of the mini games are just bad and weird. Even something as simple as getting the key as Tifa in the gas chamber is non-responsive and frustrating.

the funny thing about the whole honeybee inn segment is, at least in the translation I played, whether it's the gay "gangbang" or the crossdressing section, it was pretty much done in a subtle way... they didn't have cloud come out and say any vulgar things or whatever, the player is left to wonder whether anything sexual even happened at all... when they threaten corneo they never outright say, "we're gonna chop your dick off"... they refer to it as "it"... so if they just stick to the original as close as possible, and make it as comical and cartoonish as it felt in the original, I think it's gonna be fine
