I'm a former masterrace but I switched to console.
I'd rather buy a console and know that I have the latest and greatest for at least a few years than buy a $400 GPU that will be considered ancient and have its price plummet in a month or less because Jewvidia shits out new chips like theres no tomorrow. They can't just make a good quality chip and then innovate for a while until they get a good price/performance ratio. They have to release a new chip every week with a $500 price tag that makes the one they released last week obsolete.
Sure, my PS4 isn't as powerful as a high end PC but at least I have the piece of mind of knowing they aren't going to release a PS5 next week and a PS6 the week after that.

Bought my HD7950 ~3 years ago for under 300€ thanks to AMD Never Settle (sold the keys for like 50€+). And let's not even start with my 150€ 2500k - both are still kicking. You're obviously a console only peasant using their stupid "you have to upgrade with every new hw release!!!11" argument.
