Hello, please help im very very frustrated at this point!
I was going to install wc3 roc + tft but I could only find my original wc3 roc install cd not the tft one.
I decided to download .iso of roc and tft to install via mount but using my own cd keys.
at the same time I found a patched english portable lan version of wc3 tft and downloaded that aswell (name war3 1.26 iceblitz)
(i dragged that portable folder on my desktop)
While the installation of tft completed i downloaded a patch for v1.26a aswell (isneededfornocdpatch)
I remove the portable wc3 tft from my desktop(i can use this on lans but i wanna play original bnet with my own keys i just used)
Tft finally done installing-> i wanna apply patch (gotta click the patch file and cannot patch via starting game cause game wont start without nocd patch)
->patch says: ERROR: unable to create file 'C:\Users\Username\Desktop\warcraft iii 1.26 -iceblitz\BNUpdate.exe'
basicly, whenever I wanna apply a patch it redirects to this portable wc3 i once put on my desktop, it is not uninstallable since its portable. if i put the iceblitz folder back on desktop the patch goes thru but it patches the portable version not the one i installed via installer and my own keys on my harddrive
i did "regedit" and instalpath was correct, ive read instalpath has to be correct
the portable version does start without cd yes, but i cannot connect to battlenet
ive tried using fixer, no help
what can I do?? somehow the patch has to patch the installed w3 folder but its always chosing the location of the portable one that was once on desktop
PLEASE HELP IM TRYING FOR HOURS NOW WITHOUT ANY FOOD OMG
