Look, chummer, I enjoyed the game, but it's still pretty linear. You don't do a lot of exploring (you're hired criminals who do runs, practically), there's essentially only one route to the endgame, and among the only free-form things in the game is the way your character interacts with others and how you choose to complete objectives.

The game has a lot of dlaws but I liked the increased focus on party members. I felt you really got to know your teammates well, unlike Dragonfall where it was just a couple of talks and the mission.

Starting out cold or even hostile then eventually warming up to someone is the definition of tsundere.
Also, that mission was badly designed. It basically forced me into killing the elders when I didn't want to- where is the player agency? Even when I eventually cracked and followed a walkthrough it still ended up in a shootout.
I really liked Racter and Gobbet and Kindly Cheng made a great fixer though. So the characters were good, just the mission design I thought was lacking compared to Dragonfall.

There were several ways you could end that mission without killing the elders. Just because you failed to find those ways doesn't mean the mission is badly designed.

I never gave Blitz much of a chance in the begining since I played a Decker and Blitz came off as pretty daft. Once I did his mission, though, my opinion of him changed for the better.

Dragonfall has:
- Better characters
- Better plot
- Director's Cut has a pretty fun for what it is system that is more complex than the Genesis one, so if you like it you can sink your teeth into it.
Only game that even compares to this one is the SNES version, who had inferior combat to the genesis one but a better overall plot and characters.

A few things.
First of all, his story in pretty cool, and whether you completely agree with his ideas or not, they have some interesting implications.
Second, he has this professional, cool and pragmatic attitude that's rather refreshing compared to all the "damaged" individuals you have to deal with in Shadowrun games. Yeah sure, Racter is arguably more damaged than the lot of them, but he has his shit together and doesn't let it influence him. Compare that to Is0bel, who is the least popular party member in HK precisely because she does let her "broken" side influence her a lot and even after you help her every conversation is basically "boo hoo life is hard maybe I did the wrong thing."

They actually try hard. Ratcher is them succeeding, Ork bro is pretty good. I even liked the Ghoul.
But overall I preferred the Dragonfall companions. The game tries to push Gobbet and Is0bel as the "main companions" as well Ork Bro and these two characters fall flat, hard. I even liked the Spaghetti mission from Is0bel but by god her character sucks.
The main line stories also kinda sucked.
And the map design and mission design was inferior.

Tsundere has a broad spread of meaning including 'cold or hostile, warming over time'. You're applying one rigid definition to it, which while correct, does not take into account wider cultural connotations of the term.
In a sense, you're right, because your definition is closer to the most literal interpretation. At the same time, that doesn't necessarily mean I'm wrong for using a broader, but still recognized, definition of the term.

I did the same thing on my first run.
I roleplayed that I was an old lover of Monica and that I was pretty fucked up by her death, so when Apex pretended to be her, my dude pretty much ignored all common sense and helped him out.
Eventually my character wised up though, especially after finding out Apex was killing deckers and tried to impersonate Clockwork after eating him. I didn't give Apex control of the facility and swore I'd hunt him down in the end.

Yeah, which are only useful to get some info you can sell later on. They certainly made it better in comparison to SRR, but it's still not a self-sufficient archetype like some are. Shamans are also bad in that department because unless there are hotspots to summon spirits from you're kinda gimped, but at least you have spells.

I only played one in Hong Kong, but it's ridiculously powerful. With the right setup you can kill just about anything, or even stun up to four guys in one turn. Though Phys Ad on its own is a bit underwhelming, you really need to focus on melee and take some Phys Ad skills to support that rather than go full Phys Ad.

Depends on your class. Dual or multi-classing can be pretty expensive; if it's your first time playing, try to specialize.
The ballistic formal suit (if you can find it) is a nice thing to have early on; the Charisma boost it grants is more than substantial if you're not a shaman/conjurer, or if you're not going for a charisma build in general.
