Miracles are good as a supplement to your build, but you'll have a hard time if you're trying to do Miracles only. There just aren't enough offensive Miracles to carry you through the game.

Depends on what weapon you intend to use. Different weapons scale with different stats.

Level to its base requirements
Level whichever stat has the best scaling with it
Repeat until you find your favorite weapon(s)

I guess there's a couple things I could mention if you REALLY want to:
- Your movement is affected by the weight of your gear compared to your equip load. Breakpoints are 25%, 50%, and 100%.
- Your armor's poise stat dictates what attacks will stun you
- Just about any weapon (and class, and build) is viable
- Upgrading your weapon is much more useful than upgrading armor
- Res is the worst stat
- Have fun exploring

Practice shield countering timing early on, if you get good enough to do it reliably, you'll mince everything between Asylum to Undead Parish and belong with no effort and no leveling up.
Drake sword is a good early game weapon if you boost your dexterity by 1 to use a bow and spend a good 30-50 arrows hitting the Drake's tail from under the bridge. People hate on the Drake sword alot because they lack the ability to adapt, but it's pretty damn useful on knight for awhile under you get into leveling and upgrading weapons (I went with Claymore, Knight Shield and Elite Knight armor for my whole game and never really had any trouble with anything)
You'll probably want to take off your chest armor for awhile to help make dodging and moving easier, which since your starting shield has a 100% physical block, you'll be fine being unprotected.
Starting Knight gear can take you a long way with not much leveling or upgrading, I personally never delved into Miracles.

When you look at the weapons stats there will be a letter grade (A-E, E being the worst) beneath some symbols. One is like a flexing arm and another is an open hand. Those are strength and dexterity respectively. The higher the letter grade, the more damage it will do based on how high that stat is.

I've been playing it for the last couple of weeks, having bought it in a promotion. The community is still alive, I get at least one invasion every day, and pvp arenas are always busy.
But I was disappointed at the game. It's very underwhelming, for some reason.

Pick one offensive stat (either Strength or Dexterity), find a weapon you like that uses that stat, and don't level the other beyond the bare minimum requirements for the weapon. Get the stat you picked up to around 30-35, 50 on NG+, and level up your health, stamina, and equip burden as well. Ignore the other stats unless you just want to supplement your playstyle with some magic. Level up your weapons before you level armor.

Who picked the master key on there very first playthrough?
A lot of people accidently go to the graveyard first, but with the key you can end up going very wrong directions.
Moonlight Butterfly ended up being the first boss I killed after reaching Lordran, and I was stuck in New Londo Ruins/Valley of the Drakes for ages before eventually finding the Undead Burg.

I legitimately hate you anon. This is the only boss in any Soulsborne game that I have never defeated. Mainly because I get tired of his bullshit AoE and leave
