I've always had more trouble with sticky demos than demoknights, those guys have to get close to you or get the drop on you.
Now demoknight is unplayable because all the shields are homogenized, except for the Tide Turner which is now a rancid turd that doesn't resist anything, doesn't get full charge back for kills, ends the charge if you get pinged by one bullet, and can't even crit on shieldbash.
It feels like they JUST added it, too, even if it was a year ago, but they added, toyed with it, then threw it in the fucking trash, like what feels like every other unique weapon.

i'm with you. the problem with the bashing at any range is that it makes the shields lose all identity.
the targe was great when there where too many pyros, the screen was good for going in balls deep and the tide turner was great for chasing down fucks around corners and making an escape.
Who the fuck was so bad that they bitched about demoknight? It's a joke class that gimped demos immensely. Why shit on bad weapons?
Demoknights deserved nerfs because it's a brainless fucking playstyle.

there are a plentiful amount of people who don't know how to adapt to any situation in the game. these are the people that caused valve to make that sticky nerf in the love and war update. demos had every right to bitch since it was such a stupid fucking nerf. thank god when match making comes out there won't be any stupid nerfs.

I think the biggest issue is that it's not BALANCING the problems, it's just outright removing them and hoping nobody will squawk.
There are better ways to have fixed Demoknight, remove random melee crit rolling while a shield is equipped, fixes the bottle and equivalents, fixes the half-zatoichi, fixes the skullcutter.
Instead they made all the shields and swords complete shit and hoped nobody would use them anymore.
