My family 360 still works somehow. We've had it since 2008. I haven't used it once since 2009 though.

2005-2007 consoles all died. Then Microsoft fixed the warping motherboards finally after years of heat exposure. Anything made after 2008 is probably good. I had a refurbished one for several years before upgrading to a new model. Every one I bought in store seemed to fuck up within a year (disc drive and rrod).

I do. I just picked up a bundle deal from gamester for 80 bucks. It's funny cause as soon as I went to play it I got the red rings. It wasn't RRoD though it was cause I didn't put the hard drive in all the way.

My 360 technically works, although it got RRoD and my warranty had ran out by the time it happened. So I sent it to a local place that did repairs and they simply sped up the fan. So now my 360 sounds like a jet engine whenever it gets used.

My Arcade 360 RR'd during a game of Dead Rising. I freaked out and basically jumped across the room to pull the plug. After about 10 minutes I plugged it back in and it worked fine.

Mine got the red ring four or five years ago, just inside warranty. Sent it off and it got fixed, never had a problem since. Bit annoyed that the courier told me they just gave you a new one instead of fixing it but suppose I kept my old saves.

Game had no multiplayer lobby. You had to do an elaborate trick to create one (copied from a forum becasue I forgot how):

Unbelievable. Also the netcode was such shit. Matchmaking took like 15 minutes and because there was no lobby, EVERY SINGLE ROUND took 15 minutes to start. I made friends with some canadian guy that lived like next door to his ISP and played exclusively in private games after that.

I do.m, but I had 5 die on me over the course of owning one. Once I sent one in to be fixed, they sent me a new one and it was red ringed right out of the box. I still have the five faceplates from all the ones that died. Want to do something with them, like paint them so I can swap them out every now and then but I'm a lazy fuck.
My 360 is 9 years old this Christmas and it hasn't ROGed yet, but the drive will randomly stop playing a disc so I have to install all games.

All the Jasper one are still working fine. Only Xenon/Zephyr had really horrible failure rate. Falcon to a lesser extent.
Jaspers on the other hands were fine. Still have a 16MB JTAG'd Jasper, using it quite often and it works perfectly fine.

I ended up buying a new one (not the slim, but the later model early 360) because it was around Christmas and the price was cut and I just sold the repaired one.
I'd say that I wished I got a PS3 instead of 360, but most of my friends had it and parties and big multiplayer on things like RDR were great. Other than that, I just regret getting one of the consoles at all really. I had a gaming PC and the exclusives for both were pretty uninteresting to me. Maybe I should have got a cheap Wii.

No RRoD, but damn is it noisy. Occasionally I get the error telling me that the Xbox 360 game I put in it needs a Xbox 360 to play. Also the date seems to reset sometimes to 2005.

I bought a Wii at launch and it still works. The power cord went bad and it won't play Brawl but other than that its golden.
