I preferred the reliance on everyday objects as weapons rather than home made light sabers and wolverine gloves. DR2 is still fun as fuck though, especially OtR.

Well that's the main draw. Other than that there's a bunch of new weapons and a new theme park themed area. Plus Chuck is a better enemy boss than he was a main character even if he is just a model swap of that crazy bike guy.
I never did get the saint achievement. One off. That was the most intense game run of my life. The AI in that game is so fucking retarded and you have so little time to get shit done you had to have a plan right from the start. Pretty sure one of my people got assraped in the mall on night 2 because they wouldn't fucking listen to me. Got every other achievement though. Man what a fun fucking game.

I feels lovably goofy. The second game is like that too but it doesn't have the same charm. The main problem with DR1 is the AI is terrible. Which is bad for a game that consists of escort missions. But the main reason I hate DR2 is the boss battles are insanely difficult, you need to break the game just to have a fighting chance. I never played DR3, I wonder if that game is any good?

I still think that sucks. I mean they intentionally made Chuck's moveset worse than Frank's with so many weaker parallels that I can only see it as an intentional upsell to Frank.
Y'know what I'd have liked more? If each character; Chuck, Frank, or anyone else actually had their own complete moveset. Not just unarmed powers but with the exception of things like explosives and guns; everyone used every weapon differently. So that a nightstick had one swinging it by the baton, and another using it as a spiked cudgel.That any given knife would be used to stab instead of slash, and even if it was still a slash to have a different hitbox and stance or movement involved.

It adds the Sandbox mode.
There's a new area, and a bit more wackiness in it, but the stories kind of disappointing after playing 2. The boss scenes are exactly the same just with Chuck swapped with Frank, which means at points they make no sense in context.
Hippy boss for example. With Chuck, his lines make perfect sense. In Franks, telling him he's lost his nerve makes no sense in context and is disappointing as his role in the game is initially made to be greater. Like, you got the VA back to do some more lines, why wouldn't you record that part?
Only thing that saves the story is the twist, but it's only a twist if you played through the original 2
