It tries to be more than it is. It is just a shallow attempt at tactical shooting going tryhard esports. It will be forgotten in months unless it gets better maps and shitloads free content. It will turn into inevitable tdm shooter and wither away in the end.

I like it but there are so many fucking retards playing the game. There should be some kind of forced tutorial before you can access ranked.

It's a lot of fun.
Costs too much but fun.
Matches seem to be quite varied. I'm rarely repeating the same battle over and over as I thought I would because of the destruction and operator abilities. I think the maps are quite strong and the fixes helped out slightly. I hope it survives but Ubishit have done their best to kill it. Massive improvement over Vegas in my opinion and probably the strongest versus multiplayer for the series in my opinion.
The game proves you can't really do anything more complicated currently though. Some players seem to have a hard time struggling what a hostage situation is or realising that drones and sound can be more important than blasting shit immediately. It's stuck between casuals and e-sports, I'm tried of the general bitterness surrounding players of e-sports so enjoy it and forgive some of it's shortcomings but it seems like it has to cater to one side more or it will disappear forever like the genre.

It's really good, but the servers are fucking horrendous. There's like a 20% chance that the game will freeze when a round finishes, lots of games where everyone has >100 ping and some really questionable hit detection (I swear I'm getting headshotted way too much in this game).
The game itself is fine as fuck and I like the direction the developers are taking (except for the eSports thing).

sounds like Ubisoft was watching Valve getting rich with dota 2 and crawled through its franchise names in search for their own attempt on a shit optimized for e-crowds rather than players, and microtransactions to rip off money
The 60 dollar price tag sealed its fate. To top it off, Ubisoft isn't really known to keep multiplayer communities alive for a long time.
