Yes, free trial is for 20 days now. Later you can extend it for 15$ or for 1.2 bil isk.

You can buy custom paint for mad dosh. Eve is not about "personalizing" your ship. It's a game with taste, not WOW or SWTOR where everything is colored in rainbow and has no style.

Only 'custom' part on your ship are guns.

There is first person camera mode. Absolutely useless. Have you eve imagined commanding battleship from first person? When you command battleship you need tactical info, not first person view.

you can customize your equpiment, and learning how to "fit" a ship is the most important aspect of the game so you should do some research
i haven't played in a while but there should be a new feature that allows to pilot your ship like a normal space sim

I feel like i should warn you, anon. EVE is a terrific game but a few things to take note of;
It's a second job to get anywhere with it, which is fine if that's what you want
It is NOT an action game like Elite or X orShamCitizen. You don't fly your ship around wherever you want using WASD, you lock onto targets and you orbit/fly-to/warp-to whatever. It's a strange system but very good when you get the hang of it.
It's much more about economy, strategy and work than it is about flying around pew-pewing.
Just be aware of it. Definitely try out the trial first.
