It's level 1-1 in Super Mario 3d World recreated in Super Mario Bros. Since it's a faithful recreation it's easy as fuck but hey it should still be fun.
I plan to recreate more levels from 3d World in the future, as much as the editor can at least.

More Metroid than Mario, this course is a big adventure with a flashy ending. It's somewhat challenging, but there are no cheap deaths.

The prequel, Check & Point, is on my profile, along with the original version before checkpoints were added to the game. It's a little harder than Fire & Ice, but it's also a little shorter. If anyone beats any of my Magikoopa courses, I'll play everything you've made.

Can we just admit both Waluigi and Daisy are pretty much skinny Wario and tomboy Peach, except for hipsters? Because it almost feels like people like them just to be different from the average Mario/Peach/Luigi/Wario fans. And I've seen a abnormal quantity of Waluigi fans also being just big fat enormous bishonen fans while Daisy fans always seem to be at that side of the spectrum where most of them just relate Daisy to some sort of crazy ass fetish. This isn't necessarily true. Each theme has it's own subtle differences. Airship bobs, underwater is well..underwater(and affects the enemies placed in it) castle has lava fish and an axe finish.

I'm not sure if ground/underground/ghost have anything mechanically different but that's not to say having more themes wouldn't come with mechanics.

The goal of Mario Maker is to make your own levels, not copy entire sections of previous games. Things that weren't taken from previous games are fine as long as players can get creative with them, and everyone whining that their favorite enemy or favorite character as a mystery mushroom isn't in need to look at places other than behind them with rose-tinted nostalgia goggles.

Based on the board game. The action takes place on the sub-screen, where you will have locate the ships and recover an item found on them to drop the bullet bill locks that lead to the goal up on the main screen. I'm going to make an easy and hard version as well at some point, it should be easy enough to move the positions of the boats and scale the difficulty. I think Operation will be my next board game level.

Thanks. I discovered it making thwomp man but wasn't sure how to integrate it into the fight without it getting crazy. It's definitely something you could make a stage around. People are always saying how barebones the tools are but there's so many unique interactions it can get pretty complex. Especially being limited to costume mechanics in SMB1 you gotta get creative to keep it fresh.

I haven't made a level in a month because I'm bored of the tools I currently have. Last few times I made levels I found myself struggling to fight the limitations of the game and make something that isn't just a previous level of mine rearranged, or getting frustrated by what you can't do with the preexisting elements. If we're getting more content via updates I'd rather they give us something familiar like Chargin' Chuck than a more annoying version of the already annoying trampoline. We're going to get a handful of good levels with creative use of it and a million levels that use it to just piss off the player.

Yeah, I'm really happy with how the submarine turned out. You are never completely safe because of the two fire plants below that you can't kill, but you can systematically remove the threats all with yoshi's slurp, and you can't cheese it with a suicidal jump through the chomps because you need to bring Yoshi across the gap. Previous versions of the fight had two chain chomp turtles and giant goombas but it was too hectic. The burner ceiling was made out of the need to spike helmet proof the place, but then I decided against the spike helmet altogether in the end because it wasn't really that significant a powerup, but I kept the ceiling because it seemed to work pretty well as an additional hazard.

I'm >>320780091 and can tell you making shit around the limitations of costumes is pretty brain wracking at times. Sure I feel there's alot of people who don't full explore everything you can do, but it can't be denied that without new things to work with both makers and players will lose interest.

For example, aside from the abusable aspect of it, many people loved the invisible glitch. I myself would have made use of it if I knew it were a stable and real mechanic, but luckily decided to wait that one out. I still enjoyed the plethora of stages that did have the balls to do it and unfortunately those are all gone now.

You can have unique things, and I personally don't find anything wrong with the new additions, but people just want MORE tools, not augments of current ones. People ask for things familiar for them because they know they work.

The Deus Ex Magikoopa courses are quite long and fairly challenging, but I tried to make them as rewarding as possible. Their overall lethality is actually pretty low, and the endings of both are a lot of fun.

Kickstart My Heart is much shorter and easier. It's not too hard to figure out.

I did something similar. I took a switch down there and hurled it in the Bowsers' direction, but I stayed on the bottom path. I didn't see exactly what happened, but one of them stepped on the switch and they separated. One almost kept up with me, and another one was just off screen and still shooting fire.

I'm going to guess that one of the coin-turned-blocks knocked the bullet bills off the top Bowser, which crushed him. The movement against blocks also dislodged the Bowsers. Enemy stacks are fragile.

Thanks for giving them a shot. You were about 2/3 done and really close to the first real checkpoint in that screenshot. That's actually just a bonus room. If you go use a star on the thwomp back at the central hub, the blue skulls underneath it will open the way to the next area.

So a while back I set out to make a full set of mario maker worlds to form one 'game' I halted development, however, to wait for checkpoints to be released. Several life crises later, I'm late to update, but I hope someone out there would still like to play these. Even if you've played before, all of these levels have been updated in some manner. I urge you to give them a try!

It comes reccomended to download 4 at a time and play them as a World in coursebot, to get the most out of the experience.

Worlds 3 and 4 are nearly complete, however, they're goign to require 2 or 3 of the new features for better design, so those won't be up for a few days. HOWEVER. You can play the old version of World 3 still, as long as you dont mind NO CHECKPOINTS and some antiquated design.
