Worth $15? Looks fun.

How do you feel about Ar Tonelico 3?

It's shit, avoid.

>>320754817
I've never played that series either.
>>
>>320754439
Got it physical for $20

I'm having fun with it.

Battle system is great fun when you get full party. Only complaint about the game for me are PS3 tier backround graphics. Charactes look nice though

It's called omega quintet because you have to be an omega male to even consider buying it, family.

Okay. It's really really not great. It feels super generic and none of the characters are terribly interesting. It's like the most run of the mill anime in vidya form.

That being said I enjoyed what I played because I enjoy things that are terrible. I, however, have a job so I don't have time to play through it all. If you have a shitton of time, like shitty things, and love bad anime, I would pick it up. Otherwise, there's probably better things you could be spending your time on.

That's not a bad deal, hadn't been any used copies around my area since it's release, but I don't mind digital only for $15.

>>320754995
Battle system, from videos, did look interesting, graphics don't usually mean much to me as long as the game is playable and fun.
>>
>>320755318
That's about how I am too. I enjoy games of this type, weeb pandering, or really generic but fun games, like Neptunia for example. If I spend $15 on it and I get my moneys worth out of it, finishing it or not, then I don't mind.

Yea, then you'll probably dig it. Honestly it was so bland I just didn't feel the drive to bother with it.

As an aside, if you haven't played the Ar Tonelico series I would really recommend Ar Tonelico 2. 3 is garbage, but 2 was something special. Same kinda weeb pandering, but the battles were so much more fun.

I've looked into that series before, keep forgetting about it. They are PS3 games correct?
>>
>>320756395
1 and 2 are ps2. 3 is ps3.

You should recommend him to start with AT1. Ar Tonelico was one series I really loved to play from the beginning. Even AT3, with it's god awful shitty battle system and stupid stripping had some nice character interactions.

Music in all Exa Pico games is amazing.

I never played AT1 unfortunately, hence why I didn't recommend it. Always felt like I should, but being an adult severely limits the time I can spend on games.

Go for it when you have time. It's still a solid game. After that, play Ar Nosurge Plus and maybe even Ciel Nosurge.
>>
>>320754439
For that price I'd get it. Game is pretty decent after all. It's not the best or anything but it's still good.

>PS2
Well I have one of them as well, though I suppose emulation is also an option. Thanks.

>>320756584
I'll keep that in mind, as I said before, it's a series I've heard about and have seen, but just keep forgetting about as I'm looking for something else to play.
>>
Any other niche series I should look out for? Appears I'll be emulating the first 2 AT games, unless I happen upon them in some 2nd hand store, not likely.
>>
>>320758856
Can't really help with that first question, but if you are looking for info about AT games at some point, look for Gust thread in /jp/. It always has guides for emulating first two games in OP post.

Alright, thanks. I suppose that's the end of this thread, thanks again for all the input everyone.
