It gets a bit better after this, even though you're practically 90% of the way through the game. Assuming you didn't kill anything on your way, you'll have to load your save after finishing the game and backtrack a bit to get the true ending, and that one is somewhat better than the default one, in which case you're about 75% of the way through.

It's good, not great. Regardless, there's no need to play undertale if you want the music.
You can either download the soundtrack, pirate the homostuck soundtracks and get the same effect or download stepmania charts of the music and get better gameplay.
That just leaves the boss fights, which people have already gone out and made endless sans and others, so there's actually no need to play undertale.

Well, I'm a sucker for great bossbattles, and I like how instead of waiting and taking damage from an enemy attack you have the chance to dodge in a bullethell minigame.
DMC3 is one of my favorite games of all time but besides the boss battles and good mechanics you're just swinging at sandbags that pose no threat and trudging through boring areas to find the next bossfight.
