I'd useually go for a combo that starts with somewhat slow moves, then gets faster.
I found it made it a bit easier to break blocks before I got parries.
Like straight right, fist of justice or something, and then move on to mach punch, floating butterfly and so forth to go full on ATATATATATATATATA on people I stun.

Yeah the graveyard fight is all about learning whether to sidestep, backflip or duck for each attack. This will probably sound condescending but AoE attacks, low sweeps->backflip, projectiles, vertical attacks->sidestep, everything else->duck.

You don't even need hard mode. If you're halfway good, you'll keep the marker at lvl DIE the entire second play through, and by the time you get fucked up enough for it to drop, you'll be dead.

If you know how to dodge cancel - the most basic 'advanced' technique in the game - each time you stun an enemy you can land 2 YMKs on him to refill a huge chunk of tension for free, AND still have time to get the pummel off. It's insanely broken.
