When you play on the hardest mode while leveling up all the characters in the game evenly without grinding so they're all low level at the end of the game and die to any one crit, and a single level takes 5 hours to beat PER ATTEMPT, you can't afford to have random 3% crits happen.

You've never played the game, have you? Ike does 18 damage with max strength and max forge silver. BK recovers has 60 HP and recovers 6 HP every turn. It is impossible to kill the BK without a skill proc.

Ragnell has 18 MT, same as max forge silver. Either way the calculation works out the same. Ike can't kill the BK because he's doing 12 damage max per a round of combat while the BK is getting healed.
That's with a max strength Ike. A 'decently leveled Ike' doesn't stand a chance.

What level is that Jill, and what level is that Ike?
Ike starts on 44 so is unlikely to have been given many levels as his HP growth is high enough to bank on a stat up just about every time, (especially given how stat-ups work in this game) whereas going by her average stats, Jill shouldn't be anywhere near 41 until she promotes into a third tier class, and that Jill is wounded slightly, so she may be a decent way into third tier.

If it's gay then yeah it becomes a chore, but most FE's get better on the harder difficulties. Only thing is there are some bullshit elements but the tuning up of the enemies makes it more enjoyable compared to normal. Shadow Dragon's hardest difficulty was shit tier.

That's part of it. In order to beat a few chapters at the beginning you either have to get really lucky with RNG or pick a few units you want to sacrifice to slow down the enemy. At least that's what I remember, plus any game that rewards you for killing off your units is pretty shit tier as a FE.

And FE12 Lunatic mode is pure bullshit, EVERITHING has increased stats, the flying dragons from the deser and caves are now ranged and plus, in Lunatic+, enemies ALWAYS attack first (like if they have the Vantage skill)
