everything about this. the ruined city on the approach, going in blind not knowing what lies behind those big doors, the arena is big enough that you real get a feel for the size of Daimon without it feeling forced or artificial, and it's ample room to fight while still letting you feel like your shit's gonna get pushed in if you don't stay on the move
Maybe not the most elaborate but if simple works, why change it?

Inside a volcano before and during an eruption.
First inside the boss fighting against the brain, and then later out in space fighting against the full planet-sized boss.
