You don't need strategy for VC.
Everything can be easily cheesed withscouts and orders. Seriously just level up your scouts a ton and spam orders. And since the stage ranking is based on time, you'll probably ace each stage as this is by far the fastest way to complete them.
They tried to fix it in the sequels, but VC2 is ass. Can't speak for VC3, but it being on PSP turns me away immediately.
