aside from Read dead redemption and the newly released hard west, can you suggest some old west/cowboy vidya?
i really like the overall theme

Ultima: Martian Dreams
not even kidding
fisting with frags
Call of Juarez Gunslinger is a pretty short and fun experience.

as long as the story is good, i will try it
>>320699934
might try it
>>320700076
yeah i forgot to mention it with RDR and hard west.
speaking of which, what do you think of hard west? it is the fix i needed before xcom 2 (although it lacks some glaring features like overwatch and fucking saves)
7/10 at best
Outlaws
>>320699671
I heard good things about Westerado: Double Barreled but I haven't tried it yet.
Desperados: wanted dead or alive
>>320700076
And Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. I also like the first one, but I find it hard to go back to.
Gun was pretty fun at the time, was really blown away in every aspect by RDR though. was some crude fun putting exploding arrows up buffalo butts
>>320699671
Outlaw is old as fuck but it's still one of the best FPS on the theme

Darkwatch.

Call of Juarez Bound in Blood
Call of Juarez WITH DX10 patch, play AFTER Bound in Blood, it actually looks better visually than BiB with DX10 patch and BiB is a prequel, playing BiB first will make you feel for characters more
Call of Juarez Gunslinger (standalone)
GUN - the game Jewstar ripped off to a T with RDRedemption, original RDR was a third person on rails cover shooter.

I thought Hard West was really good. It's got some issuesthough overwatch and no saves aren't them, git gudand the budget shows but damn, the atmosphere and combat are superb.

I'm gonna play some intense gwent to this shit
>>320702647
the damage is too damn high! One flank shot one one guy and your whole campaign is fucked.
>>320703169
Then don't get flanked. I've beaten the whole game on hard and it's not brutally difficult or anything. Just mind your positioning. There's like one truly bullshit mission and it can be finished without initiating combat thankfully.
GUN
>>320703282
every mission you're outnumbered at least 3:1. The AI can literally zerg one of your flanks with bodies. Even if you're killing 2 a turn.

Shieet, this is Witcher as fuck
>>320703478
yeah, might even take the effort to mod it into the game ost, would fit really well with the heya!
>>320700380
>He needs overwatch
Step up your positioning anon. Overwatch is a casual crutch.
>>320703450
AI loves sticking to cover, though, they don't bumrush unless you put yourself up for a free hit.
Also while it's not XCOM tier "enemies activate by being noticed" fuckery, generally enemies you can't see are passive.
>>320700567
Desperados is the shit and aged marvelously. Shame subsequent games weren't nearly as good as the original.
>>320703772
They tried casualizing them for the wider audience.
Though Helldorado is not even a new game, it's a standalone expansion to Desperados 2, hence why it's not called Desperados 3.
Not to mention Desperados 2 ends on a cliffhanger that ties directly to Helldorado.
