Graphic isn't everything, the official demo had a lot of letdowns in this case. But it is the gameplay that matters and that feels right, it is Megaman in the core, but at the same time it plays differnt from the blue bomber thanks to some new mechanics. Problem is that today only graphic matters, the gameplay has become secondary. What is a shame.
Todays games are missing soul and heart. But this is a discussion for a other time. And i know, for todays standarts it is inacceptable that a character don't move his lips when he speaks or that falling objects don't leave damage on the ground when they impact. But know what? I growed up with a VC20 and Atari, i don't care. Most of the players see it different, i accept it. But this is a old school game, that the way it should be. Now we can discuss: Must Mighty No. 9 be that retro? I don't know. A little more effort would be improve the game a little for todays gamer generation, but they are not the main audience for that game.

I don't really give a shit about MM either way, but I think general consensus is that it's a case of what should've been given the amount of money it raked in. The level of salt you see regarding MN9 on /v/ is predominantly from Megaman fans who chipped in to the Kickstarter and felt burned by how it was handled.
