A lot of people are saying Ryu kinda sucks, at least in this beta. His cr.MK has zero range and to be honest i used it as a bit of a crutch in SF4 so i struggled a bit in SFV since i main him. Played 12 games tonight, saw 4 Lauras. Shes kinda like abel but with a lingering projectile. People were either almost untouchable with her or garbage, so i think shes going to be very strong when the game launches.

Laura gets reamed by Ryu at the moment, he controls the fight outside of footsie range and in footsie range you can alternate between s.MK and hadouken to get free damage while they try to get in. Laura has to guess right in order to do anything at all to Ryu.
